Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 October 2026

This policy explains what Black Swan Commerce's stock-alert bots collect, and why: Blackswan Stock Watch on Discord, and its Telegram bot (together, "the service").

What is collected

The bot doesn't collect your name, email, payment details or location.

Message Content intent

Blackswan Stock Watch has Discord's Message Content intent, because restock announcements arrive as messages in a channel of the operator's server (NowInStock's announcement channels, followed into it), and the bot has to read their text to find the item, price and link. It reads and keeps only the messages in those configured channels. Discord sends it other messages in servers it's in, but it drops them at once without reading or storing them. Commands such as /watch are slash commands and don't need the intent.

How it is used

Only to run the service: match announcements against your watches, send you alerts, and answer /watches and /alerts. It isn't used for advertising and isn't sold or shared with anyone, except where the law requires it.

Where it is kept

On a server run by the operator in the United States. Messages pass through Discord and Telegram, whose own privacy policies apply to them. Nothing is sent to any other service, including AI services.

How long, and deleting it

A watch is kept until you remove it with /unwatch. Announcements and logs are kept as long as they're useful for running the service. To have your data deleted, remove your watches with /unwatch or email support@blackswan.dev, and it will be deleted.
